Dear Potential Raider,

If you're looking to apply to <Pie Chart>, please read this post and follow the directions for properly submitting an application.

As of 6-29-2010, we are looking to recruit the following:

Shadow Priests: Shadow Priests have been known to be one of the tougher DPS specs out there. Mastery of this spec is always incredibly obvious, as great Shadow Priests will compete on single target fights and dominate on multi-target ones. The ability to micromanage and multitask is essential for success and we are looking for someone that can be aggressive and compete on a world wide scale while ALSO maintaining situational awareness and grasp on strategy. I'm not looking for a padding DPS. I'm not looking for someone who makes multiple mistakes during progression. I'm not looking for someone who can only DPS well when there's no demand for awareness. I'm looking for someone who can do it all. The ability to also use healing offspecs effectively is preferred, though not demanded.

Hunter: I'm looking for a hunter who is always at the top of their game. The ability to put out top notch damage while also maintaining great control of hunter utilities is key. Hunters have very unique demands, which will be further emphasized with the change to Focus. I want someone who is competitive AND aware. You should look forward to fights that demand a great deal of hunter utility (Yogg0, Lich King) while also being able to pump out region / world wide capable numbers.

Feral DPS: I'm looking for a Feral DPS that goes beyond the norm. Not only should you be competitive and capable of great numbers, your awareness and utility should be top notch. I want a player who really pushes the demands of their role, maximizing DPS WHILE learning and executing difficult mechanics. It's no secret that Feral DPS is very well tuned and highly demanding, and players who can meet these demands on difficult fights is what we want. Your ability and willingness to utilize offspecs will be critical as well. I'm not looking for just a one trick pony.

All Exceptional Players are encouraged to apply, regardless of openings, class, or role. We are always willing to work with excellent players.

If you can challenge our current members for their spots, we would love to hear from you. Browse our public World of Logs for comparison.

Understand that we are willing to accept applicants from all walks of the game, assuming that they can make a strong enough case to prove their worth. If you lack gear, or experience, you should be able to convince us why you could still shine in our environment. Going against the odds and coming out on top is a characteristic we expect from all members.

Guild Rules / Raider Guidelines
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As is the case with any stable guild, there should be some basic guidelines that we can all follow and adhere to, to provide us with some consistency in dealing with guild matters.
  • We raid 4 nights a week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sundays from (invites start at 7:00) 7:30 PM to 12:30 AM (EST). Some weeks we will only raid 2-3 days, but during progression, all four are generally used.
  • We are a 25 Man Raiding Guild. Members do participate in 10 mans, but we do not sanction those. All our efforts are focused primarily on 25 man. All the basics apply. Show up on time, come prepared and carry your weight. If you aren't prepared, you won't raid with us. If you are deadweight or are late with fair notice, you won't raid with us.
  • Play your best and don't cause drama. This is as simple as it gets. We run a Loot Council and don't tolerate bad playstyles, loot whores or drama queens. If any of those apply to you, go away. If you ever have a concern or complaint, bring it up with us outside of a raid: when raiding, we deal with raiding.
  • While these rules are sparse, we are a very active and ambitious guild. All applicants should want to raid at a cutting edge level. We are currently ranked 1st on our Server, 25th in the US and 86th Worldwide with a US 19th LKHM kill. (http://www.wowprogress.com/guild/us/firetree/Pie+Chart)

Directions for Applying
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE ONLY WAY TO APPLY IS TO SEND A PRIVATE MESSAGE. YOU CANNOT POST IN THESE FORUMS.

1.) ALL applications must be PM-ed to "Pie Chart Applications". You must register to do this and validate your account through an email. Any applications you send to ANYONE else are ignored. Don't PM it to officers.
2.) Please copy and paste the application template into your PM.
3.) Thoroughly fill out the application and send. If your application is incomplete in any way, shape, or form, you will be automatically denied. This doesn't include the "optional" questions. We have received many applications where people fail to post their UI's or provide parses. If this is the case with your application, we will deny you.

** We will try and keep you updated on the status of your application as best as we can, depending on our application load. PLEASE, do NOT whisper us in-game asking about the status of your application. As a general rule of thumb, we have our weekly Officer Meeting every Monday at 6:30 PM EST. You can expect a reply to usually come the Monday after you applied.**
