I'd like to get a nice fluid format, where we have hopefully a little buffer / shield, so while people aren't obligated to go every week, we still have a consistent roster of people to work with.
Furthermore, while I encourage alts and friends and pugs to attend, I will be keeping a strict handle on how people perform. Gone are the rules that if you're bad, you don't just get loot. On a week to week basis, I'm going to try and refine the roster so we have good people coming, and those who aren't good, should be motivated to be better.
Anyway, that's still a ways off. To start, I wanted to gauge interest.
My big rule is this: I want to keep things slightly consistent. In that regard, I will do two things. I am willing to restrict rolls on gear based on performance. If someone really under performs, that's fine. I don't think they deserve anything either. But that being said, don't sign up if your plan is to just stop attending once you have what you want.
Either you stay and work with this for at least a reasonably long period of time (4 to 6 weeks) or don't come. If you're inconsistent, I won't bring you. I don't want to parade alts through this place so that they can all get geared. I don't mind you eventually switching to something else, but we can cross those bridges when it's appropriate to.
Firstly, we need a consistent roster to get the harder hard modes down.
In Summary:
- I want consistent, motivated people.
- Everyone will be on an equal slate, with performance deciding your ability to return or get loot.
- I recommend doing everything you can for our success, as it will help you and also help to ensure a raid spot. Become an asset (professions, consumables, preparedness).
- We will do hard modes.
- Viable and well played off specs are a huge boon, and will help to get you into raids.
- The idea is to be a solid, reliable run that carries into Cataclysm.
- If we can generate a side community for these runs, then that's a positive. That will be a goal at a lower priority.
